CHOICES’ Trip to Swarthmore Campus

On Friday, June 27th, 2025, students from CHOICES visited Swarthmore College’s campus to learn about solar energy. Professor Carr Everbach led the students in a tour of the solar lab, and they spent some time on the roof looking at solar panels. Then, they got to visit the greenhouses, and were able to explore the different plants grown there. Professor Everbach and another Swarthmore student also demonstrated an experiment using a wind tunnel, and the students got to visit their lab. The day ended with a short lesson by Dr. Nolan Fontaine on the various Sacred Medicines that can be found in the Swarthmore Arboretum.
