German Parliament Climate Leaders Visit CRCQL to Advocate Against LNG Expansion
Last week, CRCQL was honored to host Lisa Badum, a member of the German Parliament, and Jimmy Dögerl, Parliamentary advisor on international climate and energy policy, for a tour of Chester’s toxic waterfront industries and the site of the proposed LNG facility.
Lisa leads national and international climate and energy policy in the German Parliament and has been the head of its delegation to the UN climate change conferences since 2021. At COP28, Lisa cooperated closely with other legislators from around the world on an open letter calling for an immediate, worldwide moratorium on new LNG infrastructure.
Together we discussed the global hazards of LNG and its impacts on both the import and export ends. We thank them for their visit and advocacy!
