NO LNG IN DELCO Webinar
On Monday, February 9th, we held our webinar, “NO LNG in Delco,” where we discussed the dangers of bringing LNG to a densely populated area like Delco. The owners of this potential LNG plant have their eyes set on Eddystone, and we are on a mission to stop them.
The process of liquefying natural gas involves cooling it to extremely low temperatures, which poses risks of leaks and explosions. In a community like Eddystone, with its dense population and limited evacuation routes, the introduction of an LNG plant could spell disaster in an emergency.
Our mission is clear: we are committed to preventing this LNG plant from being built in Eddystone. The webinar brought together community leaders, environmental activists, and concerned citizens who are worried about the safety of Delco.
A big thank you to our guest speakers, Tracy Carluccio from Delaware Riverkeepers and James Hiatt from For a Better Bayou, for speaking and adding depth and context to this topic.
