CRCQL Hosts LNG Community Meeting in Chester 2/17
On Saturday Feb. 17, CRCQL hosted an LNG informational meeting for residents at Christian Church of Chester, near the site of the proposed LNG facility by PennAmerica.
Residents were presented on the dangers and health risks of these facilities, and examples of that has happened in communities like Freeport, Texas. Attendees were able to ask questions and express concerns. Together, we discussed ways in which we can work together to take action and protect our community.
CRCQL also invited Chester Receiver Michael Doweary and his staff to speak on the status of the city’s financial recovery and their role in revitalizing Chester.
We had over 30 people in attendance, and thank all of those who helped to organize and support this community meeting.
